Subsidy program to help families pay for care under DHS-approved child care providers. DHS temporarily expanded eligibility of their CCCH program to include: 1. No income cap. Priority will be given to underserved and at-risk families. 2. Temporary activity requirement waiver. 3. Parents may have copayment portions of the subsidy payment waived.
Child must be a U.S. citizen and be under the age of 13, or 13–17 and unable to care for self. Must complete application and provide supporting documents, submit to local office, and complete an interview.

PATCH = People Attentive to Children. Patch is a community service organization dedicated to supporting Hawaii's child care needs. We help families find the right child care. We offer FREE resources on choosing and paying for child care, child development, parenting, becoming child care provider and other useful resources.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides resources to support our families and our local businesses during this public health emergency. It includes resources for small businesses, direct cash payments, individual health, tax relief, unemployment assistance, veterans, homeowners and renters, and more.

Hawaii Department of Health: Disease Outbreak Control Division
The Department of Health (DOH) Disease Outbreak Control Division (DOCD) has added information on the number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Hawaii to its data portal. It displays statewide and county-by-county totals for the number of vaccinations administered.

The Parent Line is a free Statewide, Statewide confidential telephone line. They are Hawaii’s premier resource on child behavior, child development, parenting, caregiver support, and community resources. They can help to problem-solve parenting challenges and child and adolescent behavior.
Monday-Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-2pm. Closed on State holidays.
Providing Hawaii’s health care professionals and essential workers with fabric masks.
Groups can request masks. Requests are capped at 25 masks but organizations can submit supplemental requests. Make requests through their Facebook page.
Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations
File an unemployment claim online. Due to the high volume of users attempting to file claims, your response time may be delayed and you may have error messages or dropped connections.
The local unemployment offices remain closed to walk-in and in-person services. Individuals may file online Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.–11 p.m. On weekends and holidays, 9 a.m.–11 p.m.
One-time emergency financial assistance of up to $1,500 to Native Hawaiian beneficiaries facing hardship due to an unexpected crisis. Sign up by online application, email, or phone.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals.

In The Rooms is a free online recovery tool that offers 130 weekly online meetings for those recovering from addiction and related issues. We embrace multiple pathways to recovery, including all 12 Step, Non-12 Step, Wellness and Mental Health modalities.
We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you and your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

The Kaua‘i Bus increased service to all routes to provide hourly mainline and shuttle service. All schedules will be the same for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Check website for updated schedule.
Masks onboard The Kauaʻi Bus are no longer required starting Tuesday, April 19 2022. Masks are not required, but riders are welcome to wear their mask on board.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program that helps many low income households pay for broadband service and internet connected devices.
You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.
Hawaii Gas continues to provide service to customers, with additional safety precautions in place.

Low Cost Internet for Low-Income Households. The Spectrum Internet Assist program provides reliable, high-speed internet access at an affordable price for those who qualify.

Supplemental Security Income (For Applicants 65+ Years of Age)
